7×24 International forms technical committee

7×24 Exchange International’s Board of Directors announced the creation of a Technical Committee to advance the organization’s goal of improving end-to-end reliability in the mission critical industry. The Technical Committee’s first task is supporting 7×24 Exchange’s strategic partnership with the National Science Foundation’s Center for Energy Smart Electronic Systems (ES2). The Committee will provide guidance on university research addressing current and future technologies for mission-critical facilities.

David Schirmacher, President of 7×24 Exchange International and Senior Vice President at Digital Realty, will chair the Technical Committee. Committee members were selected based on technical expertise, knowledge of and long term affiliation with 7×24 Exchange, and commitment to providing value to the mission critical industry. Committee members include Don Beaty, P.E., President of DLB Associates Consulting Engineers; Michael Butkiewicz, P.E., Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co; Robert J. Cassiliano, Chairman & CEO of 7×24 Exchange International and President & CEO of Business Information Services; Stephen Fairfax, President of MTechnology; and Vali Sorell, P.E., Vice President & Chief HVAC Engineer for Critical Facilities at Syska Hennessy Group. “The organization is honored to have such distinguished professionals serving on the committee.
